Overview
A Woman from Cairo is an Egyptian drama film starring Magda El Khatib as Mona, a woman whose personal life is repeatedly reshaped by the turbulent currents of mid-20th-century Egypt. Divorced from her opportunistic husband Raouf, Mona finds new hope when she meets Sherif, played by Samir Sabri, a tourism company owner — only to be dealt another blow when he decides to emigrate in the wake of the devastating 1967 defeat. When Dr. Mahmoud, portrayed by Mahmoud Yassin, re-enters her life as a former university colleague, Mona faces yet another crossroads.
