Overview
The Millionaire Pickpocket is an Egyptian comedy drama film that opens on a mother's anguish after losing her daughter Mervat — a wound she carries for years until she publishes Mervat's photo in the newspapers with a reward for anyone who finds her. The wandering photographer Mohsen spots the announcement and notices a striking resemblance between the missing girl and Fifi, a street pickpocket. He convinces Fifi to impersonate Mervat. Once inside the warm family home, Fifi finds herself unexpectedly falling for Adel, Mervat's cousin — and confronting the impossible burden of a lie built on someone else's identity.
