Al-Khatar is an Egyptian crime thriller film that centers on Maha Al-Bahrawi, a socially broken young woman whose desperation drives her into the orbit of a criminal organization. The group successfully assassinates a journalist, drawing the attention of police brigadier Shawkat, who launches an intensive investigation. Undeterred, the gang — now led by Maha — escalates dramatically by hijacking a school bus full of children, presenting a cascade of demands: ransom money, the release of imprisoned accomplices, the resignation of council member Abu Al-Wafa, and an aircraft to flee the country. A high-tension action thriller that examines how social collapse and personal desperation can transform an ordinary person into a dangerous criminal actor.
