Overview
Hell Underground is an Egyptian thriller set in the tense political landscape of post-World War II Egypt. Zaki Dawoud, a Jewish merchant operating out of El-Alamein, runs a lucrative smuggling operation trafficking leftover WWII weapons to Israel with the covert assistance of British Colonel Collins. Standing against him is Ghazy, a committed member of the national resistance movement fighting British occupation, who works to expose and dismantle the smuggling network before more weapons leave Egyptian soil. A taut action thriller that dramatizes the clash between collaboration and resistance in a pivotal era of Egyptian history.
