Wi Daa El Tareeq is an Egyptian social drama that opens with tragedy when two young siblings lose both parents in an accident and are sent to live with their uncle, a harsh and uncaring guardian. The brother, unable to bear the mistreatment, runs away and falls into a life of crime and drug dealing, while the sister endures and grows up determined to forge a better path — eventually entering the police academy. Fate brings the two siblings face to face in the most painful of ways when she is the officer who arrests her own brother on drug charges.
