
An Egyptian actor, the artist Mounir Al-Fangary was born in the Matareya neighborhood in Cairo on January 8, 1916. He obtained his primary certificate in 1928 from one of Cairo’s schools. After obtaining primary school, he loved acting and used to go with the theatrical groups that toured in the Egyptian governorates, such as Al-Rihani, Ali Al-Kassar, and Aziz Eid, to watch them, encourage them, and learn from them the different methods of acting and its rules in order to gain experience, as Mounir Al-Fangari was passionate about watching artists perform their theatrical roles. On the theaters that toured the Egyptian governorates, which were watched by thousands of people in the Egyptian countryside and cities, and through watching the various groups, he gained experience in acting performance in general. Al-Fangari joined one of the private jobs in Cairo and worked there in 1936 AD. He married one of the Cairo girls in 1937 AD. During this period he got to know many of the giants of Egyptian cinema at that time. He got to know the artists Muhammad Abdel Wahab, Naguib Al-Rihani, Siraj Mounir, and Hussein Riad. And many others. The great director Mohamed Karim later included him in the film “Forbidden Love” in one of the small roles in 1942, and the director Ahmed Badrakhan also included him in the film “Honeymoon” in 1945. After that, he worked in many other films, amounting to about 75 films. The artist Ismail Yassin and Farid Shawqi, the artist Mounir Al-Fangari, loved him and they included him in a group of Egyptian films. He participated with the artist Ismail Yassin and acted with him in about 22 films.
