He was born in Cairo in 1937. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in 1960. He worked as an agricultural engineer in the Tahrir Directorate, then he was appointed to television in children’s programs, where he worked in directing and acting. The artist (Najwa Salem) presented him in the play (Haja Talabkhat) in 1971. After that, he participated in a number of plays, including (The Married Ones, For the sake of a handful of women, Try to understand, O Smart one), his most prominent role ever in the play (Sk on your daughters). He presented many works for television, such as series (Al-Wasiyah, Al-Mal wa Al-Banoun, On the Sidelines of the Biography). He was struck by illness in 1986, when he was surprised while working at work with severe heart pain. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition required him to travel to Paris to undergo bypass surgery on seven arteries in the heart. During the last period of his life, he remained bedridden, until he passed away on June 8, 2014 as a result of a heart attack.
