Uncle Ahmed's Case is an Egyptian social drama that pits a wealthy contractor named Shukri against Ahmed's uncle, a longtime tenant he seeks to evict from his old family home in order to build a project that could rescue him from looming bankruptcy. The conflict takes an unexpected turn when Shukri's son Ramzi falls for Batta, Ahmed's uncle's granddaughter, despite the vast social divide between their families. Ramzi immerses himself in the popular neighborhood where Batta lives, befriending her brothers and becoming entangled in the community. The series uses the legal dispute as a lens through which to examine class, belonging, and the human bonds that complicate even the most calculated plans.
