Al-Hawa Wal-Shabab is an Egyptian romantic drama following Sameer, an aimless young man who is pushed by his father into taking a job at a local shop. There, he meets Misbah, a fellow employee, and quickly falls in love, resolving to make her his wife. The path forward is complicated, however, when Sameer and his father uncover evidence that the shop manager has been embezzling funds — leading to a confrontation that sets off a chain of events. The film is a gentle, slice-of-life story about a young man growing into responsibility, discovering love and integrity simultaneously in the everyday world of work and family.
