Wahida is an Egyptian drama series centered on a hearing-impaired schoolteacher from Alexandria who requests a transfer to Cairo in hopes of leaving her condition behind, where no one knows her secret. There she meets Magdy and falls in love, eventually finding the courage to reveal her hearing impairment to him — a secret he accepts without hesitation. However, the path to marriage is blocked when his mother fears that their future children might inherit the condition.
