Short wa Fanella wa Cap is an Egyptian romantic comedy set against the sunny backdrop of Sharm El-Sheikh's tourist resorts. Three friends — a tour guide, a diving instructor, and a cafeteria manager — find their carefree coastal lives upended when one of them helps the daughter of an Arab minister escape her controlling father, who refuses to let her marry the man she loves. What starts as a spontaneous act of chivalry quickly spirals into complications, as the truth about the woman they're helping turns out to be far more surprising than anyone anticipated. Breezy and fun, the film uses its Red Sea setting to full effect in a story about freedom, love, and the unexpected consequences of getting involved.
