Overview
Okal is an Egyptian comedy film following Okal, a talented car mechanic living with his spirited grandmother Itata, who is heartbroken when his fiancée marries a wealthy man. After drinking himself into a stupor, he wakes up inside a coffin headed to Turkey, accompanied by a smuggler. Stranded in Istanbul with no memory of how he got there, he is taken in by the leader of the Egyptian community, falls in love with his host's daughter, and rebuilds his life using his remarkable mechanic skills. A surprise appearance by Grandma Itata at the wedding sets off a hilarious finale in this breezy Egyptian comedy.
