Escape To The Top is an Egyptian thriller about the price of trying to go straight. Sayed El Hawa is a seasoned safe-cracker who decides to leave his criminal life behind — only to find that officer Hammam has no intention of letting him. Relentlessly hounded and denied any chance at a normal life, Sayed is pushed to the brink of taking violent revenge. Instead, he chooses a different path: leaving the country and returning under a brand-new identity. The film is a tense character study asking whether a man with a criminal past can ever truly escape it, even when he genuinely wants to change.
