Napoleon and Al Mahrousa is an Egyptian historical drama series that vividly reconstructs the French campaign in Egypt during the late eighteenth century. The series charts the political and social upheaval of that pivotal era, from the Battle of Shubra Khit — where Napoleon's forces clashed with the Mamluk commander Murad Bey — through the first and second Cairo revolts that challenged French occupation, to the eventual defeat and withdrawal of the campaign. Told from an Egyptian perspective, the series illuminates how ordinary Egyptians and local leaders experienced and resisted one of history's most dramatic military expeditions.
