Overview
Mabrouk and Bulbul is an Egyptian romantic social drama that follows two childhood sweethearts whose lives diverge painfully before fate brings them back together. Mabrouk, the good-natured village simpleton, inherits land alongside his sister Fatheya after their mother's death. Meanwhile, Bulbul flees the village after suffering at the hands of her stepmother, falling into a harsh life in Cairo. When she returns home, she crosses paths with Mabrouk again, and the love they once shared as children reignites — tested now by who they have become and what the years have done to each of them.
