Overview

I Dream of is a documentary short by acclaimed Egyptian filmmaker Sandra Nashaat, who takes to the streets of Egypt to pose a single, deceptively simple question to ordinary citizens: What do you dream of? The answers she gathers range from the intimate to the profound, weaving together a rich, honest portrait of Egyptian aspirations, deferred hopes, and the private worlds that people carry beneath the surface of daily life. A human document as much as a film, it captures a society speaking candidly about what it wants and what it dares to imagine.
