Overview
Khabtta Al-Omr is an Egyptian comedy film starring Younis Shalaby and Shahira. The story centers on Ahmed Talaba, a struggling film extra who has been repeatedly fired for interfering in directors' work. Barely making ends meet with his wife Afkar, Ahmed installs a new telephone line and soon receives a wrong number from a man named Morsi, who claims to have kidnapped his daughter and demands a ransom of 200,000 Egyptian pounds — despite the fact that Morsi has no daughter at all. Rather than reveal the mistake, Ahmed decides to play along and investigate, embarking on an unlikely mission to save a girl he has never met in this fast-paced comedic adventure.
