Kafr El-tamaeen, is a 1989 Egyptian movie, and starring Younes Shalaby, Samah Anwar. Mohamed Reda.
Kafr El-Tamaeen is a hard-hitting Egyptian social drama about the plight of rural women trapped in a cycle of injustice and patriarchal violence. When Bayoumi attempts to assault the peasant mother Fathia, she fights him off — but her husband refuses to believe her and kills her in a jealous rage, landing himself in prison. Orphaned Fathia is taken in by teacher Awad, who years later reveals predatory intentions of his own; she repels him too, only to be cast out by his wife. Alone and vulnerable, Fathia must navigate fear and displacement until she meets the warm-hearted Ibrahim, whose genuine love offers her the safety and dignity she has long been denied. A powerful drama about resilience in the face of systemic oppression.
