Overview
Fate and Destiny is an Egyptian drama set against the backdrop of the 1952 revolution. A corrupt official, stripped of his post in the political upheaval, schemes to reclaim his lost status by arranging the marriage of his daughter Lola to a wealthy suitor. But Lola is in love with a young doctor named Abdel-Moneim and refuses to be bartered for her father's ambitions. The film weaves together personal desire and political change in a story of will, defiance, and the cost of pride.
