Bolteya of Bahri is an Egyptian drama film in which a simmering inheritance dispute between half-siblings tears apart the bonds of family with deadly consequences. When Khadra and her half-brother Al-Qirsh clash over the inheritance due to their children, he refuses to let his daughter Baltia marry Khadra's son Ibrahim on account of his troublesome reputation, giving her instead to a man named Jaber. Consumed by resentment, Khadra turns to treachery: she plots to eliminate Jaber and manipulates Al-Daksh — a man hopelessly in love with Baltia — into murdering Al-Qirsh in exchange for the promise of her hand. A dark and gripping tale of greed, family vendetta, and manipulation rooted in Egyptian popular dramatic tradition.
