
An Egyptian director who graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Department of Directing in 1978, and obtained a master’s degree in directing in 1979. He teaches in many Egyptian art institutes. He began his artistic career by working as an assistant director and executive director in about 52 films with many great film directors, such as director Mohamed Rady in the films (Life is a Moment, Hell, and Mothers in Exile). He also worked with director Atef Al-Tayeb in the films (The Bus Driver, Love on the Pyramid Hill, The Piper, A File on Literature). He also worked with director Hisham Abu Al-Nasr in the film (Al-Mawardi Coffee), with director Fadel Saleh in the film (The Prince), and with director Bashir Al-Deek in the film (Flood). In 1988, he began directing his first cinematic work, which was the film (The Time of Hatem Zahran), starring Nour Al-Sherif. This film achieved great public success through which Mohamed Al-Najjar was able to put his foot in the cinematic community as a strong upcoming professional director, and then became one of the biggest film directors by directing many successful films, including (The Scream, Al-Hajama, Sa’idi I’m Going to Come, Love’s Journey, and Awkal). After that, he turned to television drama and directed a group of successful television series with major stars such as (Yahya Al-Fakharani, Mahmoud Morsi, Yousra, Mustafa Qamar, Ahmed Ezz), the most important of which are: (Shadows, The Last Acre, Crazy Stories, The Darmly Crisis, A Meeting on the Air). Mohamed El Naggar has received awards from many Egyptian and Arab film associations, as well as from the Cairo International Film Festival and the Arab International Television Festival.
