Al Haggama is an Egyptian drama film that weaves personal crime and social upheaval into a single compelling narrative. Nousa is engaged to her cousin Sayed, and the two collaborate in apartment robberies until she is caught during a heist while he flees with the stolen goods, leaving her to serve a two-year prison sentence. The day of her release coincides with the historic events of January 18th and 19th, during which she is re-arrested in the chaos. Meanwhile, Sayed uses her absence to build a drug trafficking operation. The film offers a sharp social lens on crime, betrayal, and the lives of those caught between personal fate and Egypt's turbulent political moments.
