Almost Corrupted is an Egyptian comedy film about a good-natured young singer performing with a local folk band led by his uncle, a musician and composer. At a wedding celebration, he meets the girl of his dreams, and his uncle's wife takes it upon herself to help arrange the marriage. What seems like a stroke of luck soon leads to a series of comic complications that test the young man's innocence and integrity. The film plays on the comic tension between naivety and temptation in a warm, light-hearted story about love, family, and getting more than you bargained for.
