The Age of Wolves is an Egyptian drama series that exposes the shadowy intersection of big business, arms dealing, and personal exploitation. Despite being surveilled by security services and police, and relentlessly attacked in print by investigative journalist Samia, Shawkat remains untouchable. When Hanan's fiancé Ahmed travels abroad to work as a sports teacher, Shawkat seizes the opportunity to tighten his grip on Hanan, manipulating and threatening her until she is effectively trapped. Her repeated attempts to escape and reunite with Ahmed end in failure, making this series a tense portrait of power, moral corruption, and a woman's desperate struggle for freedom.
