Overview
Suicide of a High School Teacher is an Egyptian dark comedy built around the chaotic consequences of a man's choices. Ibrahim and his wife Tafida lead a content life, troubled only by their inability to have children. Pressured by those around him, Ibrahim secretly marries his neighbor Hasna — but just as he plans to divorce her after discovering Tafida is pregnant, he finds out Hasna is pregnant too. Both women go on to have large families, and Ibrahim finds himself crushed beneath the weight of two households, two sets of demands, and escalating domestic chaos. A sharp and farcical look at the price of duplicity.
