Seaidi fel Gesh is an Egyptian drama set in Dishna, Upper Egypt, where Kamel, an earnest primary school teacher, disapproves of his brother Sayed's decision to report the local gang led by Mahmoud al-Hawari to the police. When the gang retaliates by attacking Sayed's home and killing him and his wife, Kamel is thrust into a collision with violence, loyalty, and justice he never sought. Set against the backdrop of a close-knit Upper Egyptian community, the film explores the dangerous consequences of standing up to organized crime and the moral weight carried by those left behind.
