The Back Stairs is an Egyptian comedy set in a residential building owned by Omar. His son Sami, a struggling high school student, sneaks in and out via the back staircase to avoid detection. The same stairs become a secret passage for a musical band occupying one of the apartments, eager to dodge the doorman demanding his dues. When the cheerful housekeeper Nousa — who loves dancing and singing — discovers the band and joins their sessions, the building's everyday life turns into a series of lighthearted comic encounters.
