Mary Bay Bay

An Egyptian actress, born on July 29, 1917. She is considered the most famous woman who played the role of an unbeautiful woman in Egyptian cinema. She worked at the beginning of her life in a women’s prison, and also worked as a dancer in weddings. Then she was discovered by Youssef Bey Wehbe, who included her in the Ramses troupe. She worked in the Stage Lights Trio troupe and with Fouad Al-Muhandis, and became famous for the role of the ugly night girl. She also participated in small comedic roles in many films and plays, but she was able to imprint her image in the imagination. The audience would get emotional with her comedic reactions if she was flirted with in any of these works. Among her most important roles were the films (The Tiger, Miss Mama, They Made Me a Criminal, and A Love Chase). She died on October 5, 1997, at the age of 80.
