Overview

Al-Munaffithoon, or Task Force, is an Iraqi war film that dramatises a sudden Iranian assault on the central sector of the front line. A unit of Iraqi special forces is dispatched to repel the attack, plunging into a fierce and relentless confrontation that pushes the soldiers to their limits. The battle seems all but lost until an Iraqi warplane intervenes at a critical moment, bombing enemy barracks and turning the tide of the engagement. The film focuses on the tension, sacrifice, and camaraderie of soldiers under fire, depicting both the brutality of combat and the narrow margins between survival and defeat. It is a portrait of military courage set against the backdrop of the Iran-Iraq War.
