
Soha Salem is an Iraqi artist from an artistic family. Her father is the distinguished Iraqi theater artist, “Taha Salem,” and her aunt is the artist, “Widad Salem.” Her older sister is the artist, “Shatha,” along with her brother, “Salem,” “Fayez,” and “Samer.” Soha did not rely only on that, but she also studied art to obtain a doctorate in (Westernization in theatre). Her artistic beginning was when she was 16 years old in 1980 through the series (Al-Numan Al-Akhir). She stood in front of great Arab and Iraqi actors, and after that she participated in acting in many important and distinguished works, whether they were Iraqi or joint Arab-Iraqi works, such as (The Illusionists, Roses in the Sleeves, Influenza, and Me). Amali, Ibn Harran, Wings of Foxes, Tears of the Nightly Night, Asayel, Kingdom of Evil, Pashas of the Last Time, Arbaeen Street, Al-Dahana, Phobia of Baghdad, Sarah Khatoon, ------). She has won many awards since that period, the most prominent and important of which is the Creativity Award as the best artist of 2016 for the play “Yarab,” which participated in the Arab Theater Festival held in Algeria.
