Al-Mosafer (The Traveller) is a sweeping Egyptian drama spanning fifty years in the life of Hassan, a man whose single impulsive act in 1948 sets in motion consequences that ripple across generations. When the young Hassan delivers a telegram to the beautiful Noura aboard a ship in Cairo's harbor, their encounter — brief and transgressive — plants seeds that grow through the decades. In 1973, Hassan crosses paths with Noura again and meets a daughter he may have fathered. By 2001, now elderly, he encounters a grandson who mirrors him in ways that shake him to his core. A rich and emotionally layered film, Al-Mosafer explores love, guilt, family, and the long shadows cast by a single stolen moment.
