Overview
Al-Me'alima Wal-Ostaz is an Egyptian social drama set in a working-class neighborhood targeted by the greedy businessman Al-Sakhawi, who seeks to purchase all the homes and shops in the community. When Tayel returns from abroad and stands alongside his neighbor Zainab in refusing to sell, Al-Sakhawi resorts to manipulation — feigning love for Zainab and promising marriage in hopes of winning her over and breaking the residents' united front. The series explores themes of community solidarity, economic predation, and the resilience of ordinary people against those who wield money and influence as weapons. Tensions escalate as Al-Sakhawi's schemes grow bolder and the neighborhood's bonds are put to the test.
