Overview

The Fugitive is an Arabic political thriller that opens with a security forces raid on the home of a man known for his political opposition. When he cannot be found, his brother is detained in his place. The fugitive escapes and seeks refuge with the journalist Rauof, trusting him as an ally — only to be betrayed when Rauof hands him over to the authorities in order to protect his own scandalous secret affair. Tense and morally charged, the film exposes how political repression and personal cowardice are often two sides of the same coin.
