The Walls (Al-Aswar) is an Iraqi family drama set in Baghdad, following the household of Sheikh Ali, a hardworking and decent patriarch with a son named Abbas and a daughter named Najia. When Abbas falls in love with Majida, his mother Yasin moves to arrange the marriage — but her maneuvering ignites bitter conflict within the family, unleashing long-suppressed rivalries and a fierce power struggle over the family's business. The film is an intimate portrait of generational tension, ambition, and the destructive potential of revenge within the walls of an Iraqi home.
