
He is a novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. He was born in Damietta Governorate on February 19, 1932. He worked as a drawing teacher for one year, then as a journalist in Al-Gomhouria newspaper, a full-time writer at the Rose Al-Youssef Foundation, a member of its board of directors, then a member of the Arab Writers Union, and rapporteur of the story committee in the Supreme Council of Culture. His works have been translated into several languages.
