Sunbird is an Iraqi survival drama based on true events, recounting the harrowing ordeal of an Iraqi military pilot shot down over Iranian territory during the Iran-Iraq War. Injured and stranded in hostile, unfamiliar terrain, the pilot must draw on every ounce of his will and resourcefulness to find his way back to safety. With no modern navigation tools, he relies on the stars above and the flight of birds to guide him across the dangerous landscape. The film is a gripping tribute to human endurance and the instinct for survival against overwhelming odds.
