Fadil Khalel

Fadel Khalil was born in the city of Amara, Al-Sariya district, in 1946, to a father who was a barber and was considered one of the city’s intellectuals and figures at the time. There Fadel Khalil deciphered the lines of the alphabet and then embarked on a journey of life and art, where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts - University of Baghdad in theatrical arts in 1970. He was ranked first in his class, which prompted the university to appoint him as a teaching assistant in arts in 1971, and he obtained a doctorate in directing. and theater sciences from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Bulgaria in 1985, for the thesis entitled “Contemporary Problems in Theatrical Directing.”
