Spider is a 1973 Egyptian black-and-white television series adapted from a story by Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, featuring performances by Mahmoud El Meligy and Ezzat El Alaili. The story begins with the mysterious appearance of a young scientist in a remote Egyptian village, his arrival coinciding with a string of gruesome murders in which every victim is found decapitated. The series weaves together science fiction and crime mystery in a way rarely attempted in Egyptian television of the era.
