Overview

Exile is an Arabic drama film that follows Mohamed, a steelworker whose life fractures when a tragic accident claims his closest friend. Left with a piece of rusted metal lodged in his head, he carries the accident as both a physical wound and a psychological burden. As the rust slowly spreads through his body — a haunting metaphor for systemic corruption — Mohamed transforms his personal grief into fierce resistance, rising against the corrupt forces that allowed such tragedy to occur. The film uses his individual suffering as a lens through which to examine broader social injustice, ultimately painting Mohamed as a tragic yet powerful symbol of sacrifice and defiance.
