Overview

Europa is an Iraqi drama and survival film that follows Kamal, a young Iraqi man attempting to cross into Europe on foot through the border between Turkey and Bulgaria. Captured by Bulgarian border police and then forced to flee, he finds himself alone and wounded in a seemingly endless forest — a lawless underworld where migrants are hunted without mercy by local vigilantes. With only three days to find a way out before his wounds and the hunters close in, Kamal must fight for his survival in a desperate race against time. Raw and unsparing, Europa is a searing portrait of the human cost of forced migration and the brutal realities faced by those who risk everything for a chance at safety.
