Overview

Nezouh is a Syrian war drama set in a besieged Damascus neighbourhood. When a missile tears through the roof of fourteen-year-old Zeina's family home, she sleeps under the stars for the first time and strikes up an unlikely friendship with the boy next door, Amer. Her mother Hala is desperate to flee the violence and rebuild a life elsewhere, but her father Mutaz stubbornly refuses to abandon the home and become a refugee, trapping the family in the rubble of his pride. The film is a tense and deeply humane portrait of a family torn between survival and identity.
