Overview

Thursday Evening is an Arabic drama film that trains a sharp cinematic lens on the psychological and social breakdown of the family unit. As material ambition overrides human feeling, the bonds between family members fray and finally snap, giving way to opportunism, greed, and mutual hostility. The film argues that when money becomes the dominant force in a household, it transforms loved ones into rivals and kills the emotional connections that once sustained them. It is a bold, unsettling work of social cinema that questions what becomes of families when values give way to economic pressure.
