A comedian actor, he graduated from the Department of Acting at the Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1959, then from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. He joined the Sa’at Li Qalbak troupe, then the Ismail Yassin troupe, and the television troupe. He worked as an employee in popular culture, including his plays The Scandal and The Man Who Said. He worked in the second roles in a cinema, then disappeared from the scene before returning in his late days to produce his last film in which he starred. He worked in television and from His series: Sidi the Little Child. He married the artist Fayrouz, the sister of the artist Nelly, and had many children with her.
