Tough Road is an Egyptian action thriller set in the harsh expanse of the desert. Officer Magdy loses his bearings while pursuing a drug-smuggling gang, and is rescued by Saba, a Bedouin woman who brings him to her tribe. What seems like a safe haven quickly turns dangerous when Magdy discovers that most of the tribe are involved in drug trafficking — and they, in turn, discover he is a police officer. As the tribe plots to eliminate him, Saba intervenes at great personal risk to help him escape. A tense chase across the desert ensues, pitting the lone officer against a ruthless criminal network with nothing to lose.
