Overview

My Father's Secret is a classic Egyptian social drama that unravels the consequences of a powerful man's transgression across generations. When Adel Pasha assaults Amina, the widow of his estate's overseer, and drives her away upon learning of her pregnancy, two lives are set in motion: Amina gives birth to her daughter Nihad on the very same day that Munira — wife of the Pasha's secretary — delivers her son Mahrous. As the Pasha's own son Fouad travels abroad, oblivious to his father's secret, a web of hidden truths is slowly drawn tighter, building toward a reckoning that cannot be avoided.
