Marei El Breemo is an Egyptian comedy film following the misadventures of Marei, a small-time watermelon vendor, and his wife Gamalat. When relatives kidnap him to Upper Egypt, Marei learns he stands to inherit a vast fortune that his grandfather has converted into diamonds. Determined to protect his inheritance from the greedy husbands of his sisters, he conceals the diamonds inside two watermelons — only to wake the next morning and discover that Gamalat has sold the entire stock. What follows is a rapid-fire chain of comic situations as Marei scrambles to recover his hidden fortune before it slips through his fingers for good.
