Kelab El Madina is an Arabic crime drama that follows Shukry, a man released from prison after an embezzlement conviction only to find that straight society has nothing to offer him. With no legitimate income and no way back into respectable life, he falls in with a seasoned con artist connected to a businessman running smuggling operations. As Shukry sinks deeper into the criminal underworld, the police begin closing in. A gritty, street-level portrait of a man trapped between a past he cannot escape and a dangerous present he cannot afford to leave.
