Jungle of Wolves, is a 1977 Syrian movie, directed by Muhammad Shahin, and starring Rafiq Subaie, Mona Wassef. Osama Khalky.
Jungle of Wolves is an Egyptian social drama that uses the city's relentless urban expansion as a metaphor for a deeper moral collapse. As concrete blocks devour old neighborhoods and displace their inhabitants, a young journalist and his wife stumble into what they believe is an isolated case of predatory corruption. But what they uncover is far more systemic — a whole ecosystem of wolves operating beneath the surface of the housing crisis. The film weaves together social commentary and thriller elements to paint a portrait of a society where exploitation hides behind the facade of development and progress.
