Overview

Sea, O' Sea is a Syrian drama series adapted from the novel Dagal by acclaimed Syrian author Hanna Mina, set in the coastal city of Latakia in the late 1930s. When the family of sailor Salah Hazoum arrives from Alexandria, rumors swirl about his mysterious disappearance. His son Saeed searches tirelessly for his missing father, and when the search yields nothing, he resolves to follow his father's calling and go to sea. Working aboard a boat under Captain Abdosh, Saeed's journey becomes one of self-discovery, loss, and longing for a man he may never find. The series captures the poetry and hardship of life on the Syrian coast.
