El Ghufran, is a 1971 Egyptian movie, directed by Abdulrahman Sheriff, and starring Ahmed Ramzy, Mervat Amin. Salah Qabil.
El Ghufran is an Arabic drama following a young widow who dedicates her life and her late husband's inheritance to raising her only child. When the boy falls gravely ill and dies, she is shattered by grief, teetering on the edge of madness. In her despair, a strange dream overtakes her mind: she envisions her son as a grown young man — idle, unemployed, and living a life of excess. The film is a haunting exploration of maternal love, loss, and the fragile line between mourning and delusion, weaving together the real and the imagined in a deeply emotional portrait of a mother undone by grief.
